Well more than just the baby shower album has arrived. I got a call from Jim last night that Samantha was making an early appearance. Mother and baby are doing well, but will have to stick around the hospital for a while to let those lungs get to full screaming capacity. So in honor of Samantha, here is her final shots from inside the tummy.

Today was a wonderful day. I got to co-host a baby shower for my good friends Franki and Jim who are expecting their first baby next month. I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to shoot some pictures of Sam (short for Samantha) prior to her appearance, and to show the glow of her parents who anxiously await her arrival.
Allow me to introduce the hostess extraordiare, Kristen. She opened her lovely home to over 30 guests who enjoyed a lovely afternoon.
We had a fun little craft that allowed the free flowing expression of creativity and well wishes. While Franki will enjoy dressing her little bambino, we thought we would help her out a little.

The adorable Amy, from Stem was the event planner for this party. She really looked after the details and had everything running smoothly by the time the guests arrived.

This is a continuation of the photo shoot at Jack's birthday party. As you may recall Jack has a new baby cousin. Fortunately Aunt Karyn wanted some shots of her new baby Quincey and his sisters Olivia and Jazmyn.

I want to introduce you to my Girlies. I truly hope every woman has a set of girlies. Your confidants. Your trusted friends you can be silly with, enjoy a road trip with and savor the flavor of life with...especially the relaxing side of life at the spa. It's easy to remember our names. Julie x2, and Cindy x2.
We headed out early Friday morning for a road trip to Excelsior Springs, just outside of Kansas City. It's a sleepy little town with a great spa called The Elms. The first time we stepped into this quirky stone hotel, we fell in love with it. It originated over 100 years ago, burned down twice and has hosted guests from Al Capone to President Truman.
With Starbucks in hand we headed out in Cindy K's mini van. This was Cindy K's first girlie road trip and she offered to drive. Not only did she drive, she made chocolate chip cookies for the trip...Yummy. She also packed a special gift for the other three of us. The softest socks I've ever felt which were laced with Aloe. Ohhh this was starting out really good. We later learned that she also packed Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Wow!!! This Girlie rocks. Meet Cindy K.
After our luxurious treatments of hot stone massages, wraps, scrubs and Vichy showers, we got ready for a scrumptuous dinner.

As we sat down for dinner our waitress introduced herself as Julie. So now we have 3 Julies and 2 Cindys. A full house.

Ahhhhh, the hours of editing are complete.Jack's Birthday Album is ready for viewing. When you are redirected to see the album you will have the option to view as a slide show. I highly recommend the slide show. I'm still working on adding music:-)

What a great time we had at Jack's birthday party. Some of you may remember Jack from the tractor pictures we did in the summer, and the cutest little overall shots ever!!!
Laura invited me to the party to shoot the festivities and set up a studio in a spare bedroom for some portrait shots of the party goers. What a wonderful idea, we had a great time.
